Business has been picking up for several weekends in a row at tracks across the nation, but it’s about to go to a whole new level this weekend. The most anticipated race for the year to date comes our way on Saturday with the running of the Belmont Stakes.
The Belmont kicks off the Triple Crown series this year, and it’ll look different from years past to boot. Instead of its usual 1 ½-mile stretch, the race has been reduced to 1 ⅛ miles this time around.
We’ll begin there as we take a look at everything we have to look forward to for what shapes up to be a stellar day of racing action.
