Rainbow Pick 6 Resets After Mandatory Payout

Gulfstream Park Florida Derby

Heading into the weekend, the Gulfstream Park Rainbow Pick 6 carryover was still going strong. Prior to Saturday’s card, the carryover pool had grown to over $1.4 million. A mandatory payout was instituted for Saturday, and that attracted even more betting action.

Another $10.6 million flooded into the pool, which boosted the pot to over $12 million. At the conclusion of the Pick 6 sequence, there wasn’t a single unique ticket which held all the winners.

However, there were several. That translated into a number of winning bettors having a fantastic weekend at the races. Bettors who selected all six winners in a row wound up walking away with a cool $31,476.56.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Gulfstream has gone the mandatory payout route with the Pick 6. Back on April 19, the pot was once again split by multiple bettors who pulled in $20,158.94 each for their winning efforts.

The pool was reset for Sunday’s card, so we’ll certainly be keeping an eye to see how far it grows this time around. Here’s what else we’ll be keeping our eye on for the coming week.

Usual Suspects For Early Week Racing Action

As has been the case for the last several weeks, offerings are scant for the early part of the racing week. It’s just two tracks set to run on Monday and Tuesday, with a third ing the mix on Wednesday. Here are the cards we have to look forward to for all three days.

Carryover Pools To Watch

As we begin the new week, carryover hunters have four pools to consider. That includes a pot at Golden Gate which should continue to grow as that track returns to action on Thursday.

Here’s the current status of the pools to watch, carryover amounts as of this writing, and next racing day for each of the four tracks on the list.

Golden Gate Pick 6
$398,294
Thursday, May 14

Fonner Park Pick 5
$159,547
Monday, May 11

Gulfstream Park Pick 6
$118,408
Thursday, May 14

Tampa Bay Downs Pick 6
$101,572
Wednesday, May 13

Add it all up, and it shapes up to be an interesting week of horse racing action even with only a handful of tracks up and running. In a perfect world, the list will grow even larger as situations permit across the nation. Best of luck this week!
